When I first drank rose water, I was instantly in love. I felt refreshed and my face plump and beautiful, simply purified. I started to research and I was very impressed. I was surprised to find that Rose’s not only looking majestic, they had many health and beauty benefits when ingested.
My favorite benefits:
Lowers stress and anxiety -Roses contain tons of vitamins.Antioxidants which help with aging skin (like dark spots and wrinkles) and even shrinking pores.Helps with digestion and constipation Keeps respiratory issues align Decreases bloating.Increases mood.
Downfall- this one bottle of rose water costed me $8.00 (it was one of those ” treat yoself” days.) I was not disappointed because I was introduced to my new love.
BUT- how can I enjoy this when ever I wanted without breakin’ the bank? My next mission, create the perfect Rose Water. 7 attempts later, and a few beneficial additions- I realized it is so simple, just a dash of my concentrated extracted rose hydrol , mixed with some lemon in a cup of cold oxygenated water = perfect beverage for any day that was thrown at you.
Whether you want to beautiful, or take advantage of the health benefits, take a shot at it. It is so easy!
Don’t waste your Rose Water! The rose extract is good for 3 days, unless you keep it refrigerated- it can last up to 7. Don’t make more then you will drink! You can always make more if you keep the ingredients in the house
Ingredients:
Dried red roses (red is the most potent, white being less potent) I made sure to purchase organic from my favorite local herb shop- 2 oz’s for $8.00.Organic Lemon 100% natural cotton Cheese Cloth – $3.99- amazon Oxygenated Water ( this is optional, I added it because I have my own oxygen machine and I simply love my oxygen water)
Fast and easy Process (tasted better in my opinion also):
Place the rose petals in a large pot and fill with just enough distilled water to cover the rose petals. You can always add more water later to dilute it, or keep it as a high concentrate in a tincture bottle and add 1-3 drops per glass of water.
Once the petals lose their color, drain the liquid into a jar – this is your rose water!
Enjoy!
